Week 5 of the NFL season is approaching, but Richard Sherman and a host of other San Francisco 49ers players are injured. They can't seem to get a break. Sherman is listed as questionable, but he practiced for the second day in a row this week. However, him playing won't balance out all their other injured players.
According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Joe Staley, Matt Breida and Marquise Goodwin are also listed as questionable for Sunday. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan says Marquise Goodwin will be a game time decision.
Also questionable for the #49ers: Richard Sherman, Joe Staley, Matt Breida and Marquise Goodwin. Kyle Shanahan said that Goodwin will be game time decision.

The 49ers are 1-3 after a close 29-27 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. C.J. Beathard wasn't half bad i his first game as a starter this season. He completed 23 of 37 passing attempts for two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions, but he kept his team in the game until the end. However, it'll be hard to replicate his performance, let alone improve. Especially if he doesn't have two of his best weapons at his disposal.
Breida had his worst rushing performance of the season last week, recording only 39 yards on the ground. Marquise Goodwin has been dealing with injuries since Week 1, but he attracts a lot of attention from defenders because of his speed. Richard Sherman is the emotional leader of the 49ers. While he can fire his teammates up on the sideline, it won't be the same as having him on the field.
This week, the 49ers will take on the winless Arizona Cardinals. Josh Rosen is settling in as an NFL starter, so this will be as good a chance as any for them to claim their second win of the season.
