The San Francisco 49ers are bringing in another elite pass-rusher as the NFL draft quickly approaches. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, University of Kentucky edge defender Josh Allen will arrive in San Francisco Tuesday night to begin his pre-draft visit with the 49ers.

San Francisco, picking second overall on April 25th, has prioritized defenders while evaluating the draft's top prospects. Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa and Alabama defensive tackle have already met with the team, which is set at quarterback with franchise signal-caller Jimmy Garoppolo.
Of course, the 49ers don't necessarily need much more help getting after the opposing quarterback, either. Second-year defensive end DeForest Buckner broke out with 12 sacks in 2018, and San Francisco traded for star pass-rusher Dee Ford last month, who notched 13 sacks and led all edge defenders in pressures with the Kansas City Chiefs last season.

“Oh yeah I think I'm the best player in this draft, but if a team doesn't see that, I mean I believe that,” he said at the NFL combine ,er WKYT. “I feel like other guys here should believe that, but I believe that and if a team doesn't believe that, then I'll see them during the season.”
Allen, 6-foot-5, 262 pounds, won the Bronco Nagurski award as the nation's top defender in 2018, finishing the season with 88 tackles, 21 and-a-half tackles for loss, 17 sacks, and five forced fumbles.
