San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Trent Taylor feels like he's finally returning to normal again after dealing with a back injury.

It wasn't exactly an ideal season for the Niners as injuries were a main theme throughout the year, which led to the team going 4-12 overall.

Starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a torn ACL in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and things went in the wrong direction from there.

The Niners also had issues finding a consistent receiver rotation, with Taylor being among the group after struggling to find solid production because of the back problems.

Here's what he had to say about recovering from injury and why he thinks next season will be different, courtesy of Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports:

“I feel like my back is back to normal now,” Taylor said. “I just knew that I needed a little more time than I was able to get throughout the season. That’s why I’ve been really looking forward to this offseason.

“Getting back to building my body up the right way. I’m feeling great right now. We’re going to continue working on that and building myself up so I can be ready to have a great season next year.”

San Francisco should get several key players back for the 2019 season, but they could also make a big splash in free agency.

If the Niners are able to land a few playmakers at important positions, they may be able to give fans a lot more to cheer about moving forward.
