The Philadelphia Eagles struck first thanks to a touchdown run by quarterback Carson Wentz. San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk wasted no time responding in spectacular fashion.
Aiyuk took a screen pass 38 yards and went airborne over cornerback Sidney Jones into the end zone, via NFL Twitter:

The 49ers had high hopes for Aiyuk as a game-changer for the receiving corps after taking him with the 25th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The rookie started the year with a hamstring injury, however, he recovered quite nicely against the New York Giants in Week 3 by hauling in five receptions for a team-high 70 yards to go along with three carries for 31 yards and a touchdown.
It is safe to say that Aiyuk is feeling much healthier given his latest acrobatics versus the Eagles. His potential emergence should help pay huge dividends for this shorthanded 49ers' offense led by backup quarterback Nick Mullens.
