The San Francisco 49ers defense is looking to make a statement on “Monday Night Football” against the Cleveland Browns. That statement: they can hang with anybody. In the first quarter, they certainly looked like they can; frustrating quarterback Baker Mayfield and getting a pick out of him.

Watch above as rookie edge rusher and No. 2 overall pick Nick Bosa creates pressure on Mayfield. In turn, the second-year quarterback panics by looking downfield to find wide receiver, Antonio Callaway. Unfortunately for the Browns shot caller, Richard Sherman was lurking on the play and subsequently got the interception.
With the Mayfield interception, he is now tied with Matt Ryan for most in the NFL with seven. On the other side of the ball, the new-look 49ers defense continues to prove they are here to stay. Cleveland, on the other hand, continues its slow start in their first year of the Freddie Kitchens-era.
