To respond to the Los Angeles Rams scoring on the first possession of the game, the San Francisco 49ers saw their speedy second-year wide receiver flip the field on the ensuing kick return.

Watch below. James dashes and swerves his way down the field for an 82-yard return, giving the offense the ball at the 18-yard line.

Unfortunately, San Fran was unable to truly capitalize on the return. Their offense sputtered in the red zone, as quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo coughed up a fumble (returned by the 49ers) and then threw three-straight incompletions.

Though locked-in for the playoffs, the 49ers are playing for a fair bit on Saturday. They need to win to continue their hopes of getting the NFC's first seed honor, which their rival Seattle Seahawks currently hold. If they can't beat the Rams on Saturday, they may be stuck with the fifth seed if Seattle beats the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
