Beleaguered wide receiver Martavis Bryant is willing to suck it all up, be professional, and wait for his contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers to expire this year before leaving the team in 2018 if he’s still with the team past the Oct. 31 trade deadline.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, colleague Josina Anderson was told by Bryant that he’s prepared to cooperate with the team for the rest of the season, but still voiced his desire to have an increased involvement in the Steelers’ offense.
On @SportsCenter, @JosinaAnderson reports she spoke with Martavis Bryant, who says if role in Steelers O doesn't change, he wants out, citing need to support family. If nothing changes and no trade, according to Anderson, he's prepared to play out contract and leave after '18.

Last week, Bryant caused a bit of commotion when it was reported by Ian Rapoport that he made a request to be traded. Apparently, Bryant is frustrated that players like Juju Smith-Schuster are eating up on his share of targets and snaps, though he later refuted trade request rumors via Twitter.
For what it is worth, this could be a matter of just reworking him back into the gameplan.
Article Continues BelowBryant’s situation is becoming a distraction for the Steelers, who have found momentum after winning back-to-back games against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Bryant is currently second on the team in targets with 36 and has 234 receiving yards with three touchdowns.
For some, Bryant’s antics are terribly out of place, especially when considering how the Steelers are still sticking to him despite off-the-field issues that included multiple drug violations that had the wide receiver suspended for the entire 2016 season.
If anything, Bryant should just remain quiet, as he’s not doing himself any favor by acting like a prima donna.
