Murray is dealing with a torn MCL in his right knee that he suffered in the fourth quarter of Tennessee's Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He hasn't practiced all week due to the injury and was already hedging toward missing Saturday's contest.

With Murray out of the mix, the Titans will turn to second-year running back Derrick Henry to shoulder the primary role in the backfield. Henry struggled a bit in the season finale, a 15-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He rushed for 51 yards on 28 carries, but he did have the the Titans' only touchdown on a 66-yard reception.
Henry looks to have a favorable matchup against the Chiefs, who finished 25th against the run this season while giving up 15 rushing touchdowns. Tennessee may lean on him in the running game on the road with a hostile crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.
