The Washington Football Team took a blow to their quarterback room when it was announced that backup signal-caller Kyle Allen tested positive for COVID-19, among other positive tests on the team. While the team is amid a COVID-19 outbreak, they did get some good news regarding the injury to starting quarterback Taylor Heinicke.
Heinicke was listed as a full participant in practice. Said his knee is fine; elbow feels worse than the knee. Said there's some bruising, but it didn't hurt when he was throwing the ball.

That's good news for both Washington and Taylor Heinicke. Heinicke left the Football Team's Week 14 loss against the Dallas Cowboys with a knee injury but ultimately was able to return to the game, nearly leading the team to a comeback victory.
Heinicke is also dealing with an elbow injury, which he said feels worse than his knee ailment. The veteran signal-caller said that the issue didn't bother him while he was throwing.
Despite these injuries, Heinicke was a full participant at practice, meaning he should be good to go for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It's certainly not ideal for the Washington Football Team to have such a banged-up starting quarterback, especially with so many positive tests on the roster.
Still, it sounds like Heinicke is going to tough out these injuries, excellent news for Washington's chances of scoring a divisional victory against the Eagles. The 28-year-old has thrown for 2,931 yards, 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while running for an additional 297 in 13 games this season.
