Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand can really get under the skin of anyone. He proved that once again when he annoyed New York Rangers left winger Artemi Panarin in a game last Friday to the point that Panarin chucked his glove to Marchand near the end of the contest.

So what exactly was it that Marchand said and got Panarin ticked off? Apparently, Marchand took a dig at Panarin's popularity in Russia for his anti-Vladimir Putin comments, and that really irked the Rangers forward.

Marchand heard all about it, though, and in true Marchand fashion, he fired yet another comment that should have the Rangers all riled up.

“I said that no one in Russia likes him. So if that is now what is setting guys over the edge, then this is the softest league in the world and nobody should be allowed to say anything,” said Marchand. “Because there’s a lot worse things said out there than that. If that’s what he’s crying about, then it is what is is.”

Marchand can expect the Rangers to be all over him when the Bruins and New York cross paths again next year on Mar. 22 at Madison Square Garden.
