Edmonton Oilers left wing Evander Kane's exit from the San Jose Sharks wasn't the smoothest in the history of players parting ways with teams, so people definitely expected some drama in the forward's return to San Jose Monday for the first time since being cut by his former squad back in January.
Kane was relentlessly booed by San Jose fans, clearly showing that they did not regret at all the Sharks' decision to waive him. The 30-year-old Kane, however, was unbothered by it all, merely saying that he's no longer affected by how he's being perceived by the fans.

“I've kind of moved on,” Kane said before the game. “I'm happy where I'm at.”
Kane also had a reason to feel good about despite the boos, as the Oilers pulled off a 3-0 victory. He was not able to record a point, but he'll definitely take that, especially since Edmonton is now making a serious charge for a spot in the Pacific Division's top three.
After getting released by the Sharks, Kane hooked up with the Oilers who signed him to a one-year deal worth $1 million. Although his addition to Edmonton was not unanimously liked even by Oilers supporters, he definitely adds depth to the team's offense that needed another reliable scorer behind Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
