Cult classic action games No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2, originally from the Nintendo Wii, arrives on Steam PC. The two games are remastered versions of the originals and have arrived on the Steam storefront earlier today. To celebrate their PC launch, both games will be available to purchase for 10% off until June 17, 2021.

No More Heroes gained prominence thanks to its irreverent humor and unique gameplay. You take control of Travis Touchdown, a professional assassin, who has to take up assassin tournaments to go up the assassination leaderboards. But before he can take on the tournaments, he first has to take on odd jobs to afford the entrance fee.

No More Heroes took the game series into hiatus after its release. Series Director Goichi “Suda51” Suda became busy with other projects, but saw an opportunity to return to the franchise with the Nintendo Switch. However, he chose to release a spin-off first, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, to see if the series remains popular. Doing this gave him positive results: While the spin-off was warmly received, fans expressed their desire for a direct sequel to No More Heroes 2 instead, affirming to Suda the fans' desire for another game in the series.

No More Heroes 3 will then be released on the Nintendo Switch this August. But with the first two games appearing on PC now, we would be inclined to think that the third and most recent game might follow suit. Travis Strikes Again has been released on PC as well, anyway.
