Over the past two weeks, fans have heard nothing but positives from Isaiah Thomas when asked about the Boston Celtics. Whether it's his former teammates, coach Brad Stevens, and even the fans, IT has always said all the kindest words towards them.

And when he returned to the TD Garden for the first time since being traded by Boston back in 2017, he backed his words up.

Thomas, who's now playing for the Denver Nuggets, gave a fan his game-worn shoes after they beat the Celtics, 114-105, at TD Garden.

It was a Kobe AD colorway custom made only for Isaiah Thomas.

According to Bleacher Report, IT saved the pair of shoes for the 2017 NBA Finals and wore it for the first time in the game.

IT has stated on multiple occasions that Boston fans will have a special place in his heart and that his admiration for them and the franchise will never change.

Thomas only played three years for Boston, but he immediately won the hearts of the most loyal Celtics fans because of his dedication and commitment to helping the team succeed. IT had the most success of his career with the franchise, as he became an All-Star and an MVP candidate while leading the team to the best record in the East back in the 2016-17 NBA campaign.

Even though a lot of people believe that Boston did Thomas dirty by trading him despite playing for them in the aftermath of his sister's death, Thomas seems to have moved on from it and is just appreciative of what Boston has done for his career.
