Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray says he rushed his potential game-winning shot against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their first round series.

Murray, who was playing in his first playoff game, says he was little excited, anxious and didn't go into his shot like he normally does.

Jamal Murray finished with 17 points and six steals in 34 minutes. He shot just 8-of-24 from the field and 0-of-6 from beyond the arc.

The playoffs are a different animal and the Nuggets found that out the hard way in Game 1. Paul Millsap and Will Barton are the only starters for the Nuggets who have playoff experience. The Spurs, meanwhile, have a roster filled with players who have been to the postseason multiple times.

In the regular season, Murray averaged 18.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 43.7 percent overall, 36.7 percent from the 3-point line and 84.8 percent from the charity stripe. Odds are the Nuggets' floor general will bounce back in Game 2. The 22-year-old is too good of a shooter to shoot 8-of-24 again.

Game 2 is a huge game for the Nuggets. They can't afford to go down 0-2 heading to San Antonio. Expect Denver to play with a sense of urgency and take it to the Spurs on both ends of the floor.
