It's now been well over a year since we last saw Jamal Murray on the basketball court for the Denver Nuggets. It's been a long and difficult journey for the 25-year-old as he continues to work his way back from an ACL injury that cost him the entire 2021-22 season.

At this point, however, Murray is at the cusp of a comeback. He is expected to be ready to start the new season, which will definitely give the Nuggets a major boost. It has not been an easy road, though. Speaking to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype in a recent interview, Murray revealed the difficulties he's faced during his road to recovery. Through it all, however, the 6-foot-3 combo guard has kept his head held high:

“It’s been a learning experience and a test of patience,” Murray told HoopsHype. “Everything happens for a reason. I learned a lot, and I’m excited to be back out there.”

When asked what he hopes to bring to the table once he returns to the squad, Murray revealed that he wants to take on a leadership role with the Nuggets:

“A championship mindset, a winning attitude, and raising everybody’s level of play,” Murray replied. “That’s what I do best.”

He's a pretty good basketball player too, and Jamal Murray's talent is something that Denver has been missing dearly over the past couple of seasons. The most important thing right now is that he'll be back in 2022-23, and this is going to make the Nuggets a very dangerous side.
