Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic recently married his girlfriend, Natalija Mačešić.

This is terrific news for Nikola Jokic, whose Nuggets erased two 3-1 series deficits in the 2020 playoffs at Walt Disney World. Denver defeated the Utah Jazz in the first round and then took out the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference Semifinals.

While they put up a good fight against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals, the Nuggets lost to LeBron James and Co. in five games. However, it was still a memorable run for the Nuggets, who became the first team in NBA history to erase two 3-1 series deficits in the same postseason.

During the 2019-20 regular season, Jokic averaged 19.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game for the Nuggets in 73 starts. He put up averages of 24.4 points, 9.8 boards and 5.7 assists in the playoffs against the Jazz, Clippers and Lakers, cementing himself as one of the best players in the NBA.

The next step for the Nuggets is to get to the NBA Finals. They certainly have the talent to accomplish that goal with Jokic and point guard Jamal Murray leading the way, but most pundits believe Denver needs one more star on the team.

With that being said, it will be interesting to see if the Nuggets' front office tries to trade for an impact star this offseason when the transaction period starts.
