While speaking to reporters following their 114-104 home win over the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic admitted he wants to play with a certain teammate of his for the rest of his career. Majority would probably think that person is Jamal Murray. Surprisingly, however, that distinction goes to newly-signed forward JaMychal Green.
Asked about his early thoughts on playing with Green, the Serbian center had nothing but praises for his new teammate. Jokic called him “amazing” and lauded his energy and effort on the court. Meanwhile, Green was also asked about his thoughts on the two-time All-Star's remarks. The 30-year old veteran gave a nice grin and credited his style of play and mindset as to why he has quickly developed such good chemistry with the Nuggets franchise star.

Green is enjoying arguably his best season in his first year with the Nuggets, through the first eight games at least. The former Alabama standout is averaging 11.9 points and 6.8 rebounds, while shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 52.8 percent from long range so far.
In Denver's most recent win over the Warriors, Green tallied 15 points, nine rebounds, and made three 3-pointers.
As career 38.2 percent shooter from beyond the arc, Green's 3-point percentage will likely tail off at some point. Nonetheless, it would not be surprising if he has a career year from downtown this season playing alongside arguably the most elite passing big man in the history of the NBA in Nikola Jokic.
As for The Joker, he is off to a torrid start this season and is among the early front-runners for MVP. Jokic is averaging a triple-double through the first 12 games of the season – 24.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 10.4 assists.
