Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic was on the receiving end of some criticism from Patrick Beverley of the Los Angeles Clippers following Monday night's duel between these two sides.

After being accused of Beverley for “flailing,” Jokic burned the Clippers guard with a straightforward clap back:

The Nuggets may have lost Game 3, but Jokic's comeback here is an absolute win. He has a simple argument: how can Beverley accuse him of playacting when it was the Clippers who were actually on the receiving end of most of the calls on the evening. The Nuggets star supported his claim with some cold hard facts, which comes in the form of the disparity in free throw attempts between these two teams on the evening.

Jokic was actually amazing in this one, logging a game-high 34 points on 13-of-24 shooting, to go along with 12 boards, eight assists, and a steal in 39 minutes of play. He did commit seven turnovers, though, and that did not help Denver's cause on Monday.

Jamal Murray had another miserable shooting night for Denver in Game 3, going just 5-of-17 for 14 points.

It was a tightly-contested matchup throughout, with the Clippers escaping with a crucial 113-107 victory to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, and the Nuggets will be looking to get one back to tie the series. Another loss for them will push the Nuggets further to the edge, as it puts LA in a position to close out the series in Game 5 on Friday.
