Ever since forward Paul Millsap signed a three-year, $90 million contract with the Denver Nuggets back in early July, he is gradually still learning head coach Michael Malone's system.

On a scale of ten, Millsap is currently at a seven in terms of his knowledge of the Nuggets' system in Denver, according to Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports.

“It's a relief. Your mind is not all over the place. You're not guessing or thinking. It's second nature. You get out there and just play basketball,” Millsap said on Saturday.

Millsap, who was an NBA All-Star the past four seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, currently has his Nuggets looking to go 5-1 on a six-game homestand when they take on the Orlando Magic (8-4) tonight at Pepsi Center.

According to Harrison Wind of BSN Denver, Millsap and the Nuggets (7-5) want to finish the homestand with a statement victory over the Magic.

“We want to change our mindset and this is a game that we feel like we have to get even though we’ve been on a nice win streak,” Millsap said after the team’s morning shootaround. “This is a game that solidifies what we’ve been preaching all year, changing this program around. This is a game we’ve got to get.”

In 12 starts so far in the 2017-18 NBA regular season, the 32-year-old Millsap is second on his team in scoring with 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest in 29.3 minutes of action per game.
