Scuffles in the NBA are quite different than those in other professional sports. In these incidents, rarely are any punches thrown. If they are, no one ends up being hurt. In any case, NBA fracases normally involve players shoving and violently talking to one another. Normally, these so called “fights” happen in the heat of the moment, but the contrary actually happened on Saturday night between the Suns and the Nuggets.

In that game, Troy Daniels and Will Barton was involved in a heated altercation. Though, Barton stated that his beef with Daniels stated when he took a shot at the Suns in a podcast, per Nuggets' Chris Dempsey.

Will Barton said after the game he learned the beef Troy Daniels had with him – the reason a scuffle broke out on the court – was due to Barton poking fun at the Suns on one of teammate Richard Jefferson’s podcasts.

Players are entitled to their opinions and usually take cheap little shots at other teams all the time. It's just a part of competition. Maybe Daniels took Barton's words the wrong way and wanted to get back at him. It seems childish, but this is one of the many bizarre scuffles that has happened this season. Though, since the beef between these two players is somewhat minuscule, hopefully both players can work things out.

After all, the NBA is a fraternity, and all players are essentially working towards a common goal. Nonetheless, incidents like this are common occurrences in the NBA and shouldn't be taken that seriously.
