Last Thursday, the Denver Nuggets broke the hearts of the Oklahoma City Thunder and their fans when they escaped with a 127-124 victory over them. Gary Harris played the role of hero for them as he knocked down a 3-pointer at the buzzer to help the home team snap out of a two-game losing streak and give the Mile High City faithful a lot of reason to celebrate on the night.

The 23-year-old Michigan State product's shot sent a lot of shockwaves around the league as he showed how clutch he is and did not hesitate to take on the biggest shot of the game with only 1.5 seconds left. It has drawn a lot of reactions from players around the league, including his teammate, Will Barton. During Harris' post-game interview, he even hilariously asked how he's going to pay for his fine and then said by “straight cash,” which drew a lot of laughs from Harris and the reporters surrounding him at that time.

The game-winner gave Harris and the Nuggets a lot of confidence, which carried over to their game on Saturday against the Golden State Warriors. Barton topped all scorers with 25 points, to go along with five rebounds and four assists, while Harris chipped in 16 points and six rebounds of his own to complete the upset over the defending champions, 115-108.

It will be very interesting to see how many more wins the team can string together now that their confidence is at an all-time high. They have now won back-to-back games against two of the favorites in the Western Conference, which will give them more belief in themselves that they can win over any team that they'll face.
