Led by Nikola Jokic, the Denver Nuggets had another impressive win Saturday night, dominating the Charlotte Hornets 123-110 for their fifth straight victory. They improved to 26-11 for the season,

Jokic had a monster outing for the Nuggets with 39 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. Moreover, he accomplished something in this game that will put him in the record books, alongside one familiar player.

Nikola Jokic has been outstanding for the Nuggets all season, averaging 18.2 points, 10 rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting 49.7 percent from the field in 37 games.

Joining Michael Jordan in a rare feat is just icing on the cake for the Serbian big man.

The Nuggets have now won 10 straight games at home, and are sitting atop the Western Conference standings for the first time since 1977.

Denver also got help from Paul Millsap (18 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three assists) and Gary Harris (17 points, six rebounds, five assists) who both recently returned from their respective injuries.

Kemba Walker had 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists for the Hornets, who began their six-game Western Conference road trip. Center Bismack Biyombo added 16 points and 12 boards, while Malik Monk had 16 markers.

The Hornets fell to seventh in the Eastern Conference standings.

Charlotte tried to keep the game within striking distance, trimming the Nuggets' lead, 72-71, in the third quarter, but they cannot contain Denver's offense, who scored 27 points off of their turnovers.

The Nuggets will now turn their attention to their game against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, in a showdown of the Western Conference's hottest teams.

The Hornets will meet the cellar-dwelling Phoenix Suns next.
