The Denver Nuggets are in Atlanta Saturday night to take on the Hawks and the team almost lost another player to an injury after Hawks small forward Justin Anderson kicked Nuggets starting point guard Jamal Murray in the right foot.

Justin Anderson kicked Jamal Murray's right foot in what looked like an intentional play. Murray went to the bench for a little bit to stretch out his leg. The Nuggets said the sharpshooter is dealing with a shin contusion. Murray came back into the game later on.

The Nuggets just lost big man Paul Millsap for the foreseeable future with a broken toe. Shooting guard Gary Harris is out with a hip injury. Swingman Will Barton is still recovering from hip surgery. There's is no way Denver can survive the season if Jamal Murray was going to miss time as well, so it's good to see him back on the court.

As for Justin Anderson, what was he thinking? Was he trying to kick the ball away from Murray? It doesn't look like it since the ball already passed him. You don't want to assume anything, but it really does look like Anderson intentionally kicked Murray. There's no other way around it.
