As the saying goes, “once a baller, always a baller.” That holds true for a lot of NBA players, as they are used to competing at the highest level, and always want to be a solid contributor to their teams. However, some of them suffer injuries that force them to sit out games while they recover. But that doesn’t mean they cannot put in some work to stay in shape, and keep them focused on returning to action soon.

That is exactly the case for Paul Millsap, who was seen recently working on his shots, despite still having a cast on his left hand. From semi-hooks to fadeways, he shot them all with one hand, as he showed how much he looks forward to returning to the court with his teammates.

Millsap had surgery on his wrist last November, and is slated to miss the next three months. The team initially did not want him to go under the knife, but the All-Star forward decided to take that route, in order to repair it faster, and get back to 100 percent again this season.

This is definitely a good sign for the Nuggets and their fans, as Millsap is showing a lot of dedication to his work. Instead of just staying at home, he is getting some sweat going, and making the most of what his body allows him to do for now. Once he returns, it can be expected that he will play with a lot of purpose, as he wants to prove that he can lead his team to a playoff appearance and make some noise in the tough Western Conference.
