There are several teams interested in free agent wide receiver Allen Hurns. It appears the Oakland Raiders are one of them.

According to Hurns himself, who appeared on WFNZ the Fan in Charlotte, Oakland is one of many who is interested in obtaining his services. The others are the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers.

“Right now, the teams that reached out, it’s probably like 10 teams: the Bears, Bills, Saints, Texans, Jets, Raiders, Panthers, there’s a couple of other teams,” Hurns said.

“I should be hearing more soon and start taking visits and things like that.”

He also went on to describe how his tenure in Jacksonville ended—well, sort of.

“They asked me to take a pay cut and I told them that I wouldn’t, Hurns said. “I asked them to release me then so I could get a head start on free agency and they said they weren’t trying to release me, but they called today saying ‘we got cap issues’ and they wanted to release me.”

Hurns, 26, is a four-year NFL veteran representing a big target especially geared towards the red zone. In 42 games started and 52 games played, he's hauled in 189 balls for 2,669 yards and 21 touchdowns while working with Blake Bortles and other average quarterbacks.

Only time will tell if Allen Hurns next dons the Silver and Black or one of the other rumored teams interested.
