The NBA All-Star weekend is slated for next weekend, February 18th-20th. This year it will be hosted in Cleveland, the home of the Cavs. As much fun as the NBA All-Star Game is, arguably the most anticipated event of the weekend is the NBA's Slam Dunk Contest. On Tuesday, the participants were revealed.

The players selected are Golden State Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson, Orlando Magic's Cole Anthony, Houston Rockets' Jalen Green and New York Knicks' Obi Toppin.

Only Toppin has participated in the event before. Toppin made the finals in 2021, being edged out by Portland's Anfernee Simmons. Last year was the first time there were only three competitors, making it a little easier to reach the finals.

Toppin was known in college for his acrobatic and athletic dunks. He has not disappointed in the NBA either.

Toscano-Anderson is a bit of a high flyer himself. He is in the middle of his third season in the NBA, averaging only 15 minutes per game. That's a career low so he will certainly look to make a name for himself.

Anthony is having a breakout season for the Orlando Magic. He is averaging 18 points, six rebounds and six assists per game as one of the few bright spots for the Magic this season.

Green is the only rookie of the contestants. He was having a great rookie campaign for the Rockets, but his efficiency has fallen off. Green is averaging over 14 points per game, on 37 percent shooting.

Toppin will likely be the favorite, but it is anyone's guess as to who takes home the hardware.
