Running back Quinshon Judkins just sent waves across the college football realm with just one emoji — and location update on social media — that appears to hint that he's close to joining Ohio State football.

Judkins, who played for the Ole Miss Rebels during his first two seasons in college, shared an eyes emoji message on X (formerly Twitter) that also came with a location update that revealed that he was in Columbus at the time of the post.

Judkins's decision to enter the transfer portal surprised many and sparked speculations about where exactly he starts the next chapter of his college career. He was easily one of the best running backs in the SEC during the 2023 regular season. Judkins generated 1,158 rushing yards (second most among SEC running backs) to go with a conference-leading 15 rushing touchdowns. He also averaged 89.08 rushing yards per game and 4.27 yards per carry.

Judkins would be a terrific addition to Ohio State football if he eventually elects to go to the Buckeyes. In two seasons with Ole Miss, he collected a total of 2,725 rushing yards and 31 rushing touchdowns to go with 281 receiving yards and three touchdown catches across 26 games played.

Ohio State football is coming off a solid campaign in which the Buckeyes finished with an 11-2 overall record and an 8-1 slate against Big Ten opponents. Although they failed to make the College Football Playoff, there is no denying that the Buckeyes were among the strongest teams in the nation and should continue to be viewed as one in 2024.
