Luka Doncic and the Slovenia National Team put up a terrific fight in the Tokyo Olympics and came up just short of a trip to the Gold Medal Game after losing to France. Doncic was sensational as always and notched a triple-double, but Nic Batum sealed the deal for France with a clutch block right before the final buzzer.

After the game, Doncic was not at all happy about the officiating and made his feelings about FIBA known after the game. According to EuroHoops.net, Doncic was chiming a lot after the final whistle.

After the end of the game, Doncic was shouting “FIBA is probably happy”…He was also reported to shout “FIBA happened” while Slovenia big man Ziga Dimec was being asked questions about the game.

To be fair, Doncic has every right to be frustrated as Slovenia now goes from a chance at a gold medal to have to fight hard to walk out of Tokyo with a bronze. The Dallas Mavericks star– and Slovenia leader– was clearly frustrated with the officials all game long, and the fact that they lost by single digits makes that pill much more difficult to swallow.

Doncic gave his all every single game in a Slovenia jersey, and his historic triple-double against France will always be remembered as he entered into Olympics history. Unfortunately, the officiating made some questionable decisions, and one has to wonder what could have been for Slovenia if a couple of whistles had gone the other way.
