The 2020 Tokyo Olympics has been exciting throughout. Basketball has been extremely competitive this year, and as usual, Luka Doncic has been dominating. Playing for the national Slovenia team, Doncic has continued to prove he's one of the best basketball players in the world.

Unfortunately, Slovenia lost to France and will now be competing for the bronze. Even so, Luka Doncic has officially entered LeBron James territory after recording a triple-double. Doncic is just the third player in Olympic history to achieve a triple-double after recording 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 18 assists. The last person to have a triple-double in the Olympics was LeBron James back in 2012.

At just 22 years old, Luka Doncic has put another impressive feat under his belt. He's one of the best players in the league right now and proved to be one of the best in the world throughout the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Dallas Mavericks have to be ecstatic for their young superstar, as his high level of play could gain attraction from superstars who hit free agency.

The NBA is changing eras once again as LeBron James comes closer to retirement with each passing year. There are a handful of extremely talented young players in the league right now, with Luka Doncic leading the charge. Many debate on who James will pass the torch to once he hangs it up. Some mention Giannis Antetokounmpo, but Luka Doncic deserves to be in that debate as well.

With Slovenia competing for bronze, we'll have the privilege to watch Doncic compete again this summer. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the Olympics plays out, as the USA has found their groove once again with Kevin Durant leading the way. Regardless of the outcome, Doncic is on his way to having a long and impressive career that could rival LeBron James.
