It was a devastating rookie season for top overall pick Joe Burrow. The Cincinnati Bengals signal-caller saw his season end early after tearing his ACL and he was determined as ever to make a return and be ready for Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season.
Well, the Bengals faced the Miami Dolphins in their preseason finale on Sunday, and Burrow entered the game to a warm standing ovation.

It was a welcome sight, not just for Bengals fans, but for football fans in general. After Burrow led LSU to a National Title in his final college season, the hype around him was immense. So, the fact that his rookie season was cut short due to a tough injury was extremely unfortunate.
Burrow didn't play much for the Bengals, throwing just one pass attempt in one drive. The pass by Burrow was to 2021 first-round choice JaMarr Chase, who was Burrow's teammate at LSU.

Unfortunately, Chase dropped the ball, continuing his disappointing preseason run thus far. Either way, it was reassuring to see Burrow return to the field and get at least a little run as Bengals fans can get excited about their season opener.
The Bengals will kick off the season at home against the Minnesota Vikings, and all signs are pointing to Burrow being a full-go.
