The Oregon Ducks moved up to No. 4 in the country after going into Ohio Stadium and handling the previously third-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, 35-28. Unfortunately, the Ducks are dealing with some injury woes, especially at the linebacker position.
Former five-star prospect Justin Flowe is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a foot injury, per FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman. Flowe could also miss the postseason.
Flowe actually didn't play against Ohio State because of the injury, which he suffered in the Ducks' first game against Fresno State.
Fellow linebackers Dru Mathis and Jackson LaDuke are also expected to be out for a while with their respective injuries. Like Flowe, Mathis got hurt in the Fresno State victory. Mathis and LaDuke aren't defensive stars, but losing them in addition to Flowe is tough for the depth on the roster.
Oregon also lost tight end Cam McCormick for the rest of the season after suffering a leg injury against Ohio State.
So, while the Ducks have looked mighty impressive so far this season, they're starting to get a bit banged up here. The fourth-ranked Ducks have what should be a cupcake matchup against Stony Brook on the schedule for this upcoming weekend.
