2022 was a year of crazy moves in esports, but I'd bet nobody could have seen FaZe Clan's newest signing in their wildest dreams. In a Tweet, Snoop Dogg is confirmed to be signed to the esports organization. Check out this FaZe Snoop tweet:

FaZe Snoop, as he now identifies within the organization, joins as a content creator. This, however, is not something he is new to, as he has previously done gameplay streams on Twitch.

Aside from content creation and merchandise, it seems the OG will also have a voice in key business initiatives of the organization. FaZe Clan chief strategy officer Kai Henry said “As the original internet kid and first generation gamer, Snoop has always understood the cultural connection between music, lifestyle and gaming. Today, Snoop is a prominent voice in the emerging Web3 community and we have exciting plans to create together in the metaverse, driving new engagement opportunities for both of our fanbases.”

FaZe Clan was founded in May 2010, with teams across multiple games such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, FIFA, and VALORANT. They've also had their share of controversy, with a member of the org getting permanently banned from Fortnite for using an aimbot, and the org getting sued for “predatory” contract terms.
