Bam Adebayo and his mother clearly have a special relationship. The Miami Heat star isn't bashful sharing the struggles he's overcome alongside his mom.
Just a few months back, Adebayo even made headlines towards the end of 2020 when he surprised her for her birthday with a secret present, which turned out to be a brand new home. His mom, Marilyn Blount, had been living in a trailer prior to the lovely real estate purchase.
Well, apparently that hasn't stopped mama Adebayo from giving his son a good ‘ol flaming. The Heat star clearly wanted to put on a show for her on Mother's Day in a critical matchup against the Boston Celtics.
To most of us mere mortals, he did just that to the tune of 20 points and six rebounds on an immaculate 5 of 5 field goals made while making 10/11 from the line for Miami. But Bam's mom clearly wanted it all for her son, asking him what was up with that missed free-throw.
On a day where he was 5 for 5 from the field and 10 for 11 from the line, Bam's mom asked him why he missed the free throw late in the game.
"You could have been perfect," she said.
You have to love it.

Love the energy, mama Bam.
The Heat certainly needed perfection from Adebayo for the night, as they figured in a crucial clash for playoff positioning to stave off falling into the play-in tournament. Miami led the contest by as much as 26 points, but Boston battled back to cut the deficit to as low as six with nearly five minutes left to play in the fourth quarter.
Adebayo scored nine of his 20 points in that final frame to put the nail in the coffin against their conference rival. Jimmy Butler led the way with 26 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds for good measure. Duncan Robinson also added 22 points of his own, including six threes to buoy the Heat from downtown.
The win puts Miami at 37-31, a full two games ahead of the Boston Celtics for the sixth seed. These two teams face-off again on Tuesday night.
