Following the rebrand of its famous cowboy hero to Cole Cassidy, Overwatch has launched a new character-based event called “Cassidy's New Blood Challenge.” Players can get a brand new Epic skin, Sandstorm Cassidy, for free as well as a bunch of other rewards. Here's a quick guide on how to unlock nine new collectible items as the event runs until November 23.

Through the New Blood event, players can earn various Cassidy-themed rewards by racking up points through playing (and winning) games. You can opt for any Overwatch mode, whether arcade, quick play, or competitive. Each game counts for one point, but a win nets you double the points.

Once you hit nine points, players can unlock an exclusive icon that is basically a silhouette-esque version of Cassidy's cowboy hat and bandana/poncho. At 18 points, players then get a new spray that features Cassidy and Ana sitting across from each other. Finally, at 27 points, you can get your hands on the Epic skin, Sandstorm Cassidy.

The new skin has Cassidy in an all-tan outfit, switching out his bright red poncho for a more toned down brown look. Even the cowboy's metallic body gets a desert-inspired appearance so he can blend in with all the sand.

But that's not all! Blizzard also revealed another way for players to grab additional Cassidy cosmetics. By watching Twitch streamers playing Overwatch, you can obtain up to six sprays. The first two hours will give one spray, another two hours for two sprays, and a final two hours for three sprays. Any channel streaming Overwatch during the New Blood event period will be eligible for drops, so just make sure your Twitch account and Battle.net accounts are linked and tune in to your favorite content creators to receive the rewards.
