Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner has been one of the most discussed names ahead of the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline. Unfortunately for the rebuilding Pacers, the defensive-minded big man went down with an injury, which could potentially impact his market with the Feb. 10 deadline looming. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Turner will be re-evaluated in two weeks after suffering a stress reaction in his left foot.

With just a few weeks until the trade deadline, Turner's injury could not come at a worse time. While Turner will be re-evaluated in just a couple of weeks, the expectation, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, is that he won't be ready to return to action until after Feb. 10, which could severely impact his chances of finding a new NBA home this year.

While this likely won't completely deter interested teams from bringing Turner aboard, it may give teams hesitation. Obviously,  trading for an injured player comes with a significant amount of risk, so teams will likely be monitoring his status under a microscope as they debate whether trading for him at the deadline is the right decision.

The Pacers' update on Turner in two weeks time will be critical for teams interested in acquiring the 25-year-old, and a reassuring update could be all it takes for teams to be all-in on the NBA's block leader.

In 2021-22, Turner has posted season averages of 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game. He's shooting at a 50.9% clip from the field, while converting 33.3% of his 3-point opportunities on 4.4 attempts per game.
