Sunday's contest between the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia 76ers is a highly-anticipated bout that will feature two top teams in the Eastern Conference. One man who is certainly looking forward to the matchup is none other than Pacers big man Myles Turner, who decided to issue a stern warning against opposing center Joel Embiid of the Sixers.

Turner did not come out with a lengthy tirade aimed at Embiid. Instead, he had a simple message expressing his confidence level for Sunday's contest:

“If I am who I think I am, I'm going to step up to the challenge,” he said, via J. Michael of the IndyStar.

Embiid has been nothing short of outstanding for the Sixers to open the 2020-21 campaign. The 26-year-old has forced himself into the MVP conversation28.3 points early in the season behind averages of 28.3 points on 54.4 percent shooting, with 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.3 blocks. Embiid has also been sinking 1.2 triples per game on a highly-efficient 40.4-percent clip. He has been one of the top big men in the league, which is why it is not surprising that guys like Turner very much look forward to facing off against Embiid.

For his part, Turner has also been great for the Pacers to start the season as well. The 6-foot-11 center is currently leading the league in blocked shots with 4.1 swats per game, to go along with 14.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

It is worth noting, however, that Embiid has been tagged as questionable for Sunday's bout due to a lingering back issue. Unfortunately for Turner, he might need to wait a little longer before taking the court against Embiid.
