In Monday night's win against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Indiana Pacers proved to be fighting for a chance at the postseason. However, as time runs out, the Pacers will lose a key player down the stretch. After converting on a monstrous dunk attempt, Myles Turner injured his elbow, leaving him unavailable for at least two games.

After getting Oladipo back into the lineup after his injury, the Pacers looked poised to make up the ground they lost without their star shooting guard. Unfortunately, they have now lost Turner for two games. In their upcoming games, the Pacers will take on the Cavaliers and the Suns, so it's unclear if they can get at least a win without their anchor at the power forward position.

In spite of his injury, Myles Turner joked that he only made the dunk because his coach wanted him to, perĀ Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports.

ā€œIt was a couple things, man. I smoked an easy ass dunk in transition last game. I had to make up for that one. And two, itā€™s coachā€™s fault. During shootaround today, he was like, ā€˜Ay man, you get that ball and you need to take off from the free throw line. I was like, ā€˜All right.ā€™ So I tried and ā€” yeah. Ahhh.ā€ [Moans in pain.]

As the Pacers try to keep their postseason hopes alive in the second half of the season, they must find a way to substitute Turner's profound impact with another player.Ā Domantas Sabonis will start at the power forward position in Turner's absence, and the Pacers will look to pull out all of the stops to beat the Cavaliers for a 2nd consecutive time on Friday night.
