Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner will miss his fifth consecutive game on Friday against the Detroit Pistons.

Turner is still recovering from a sprained right ankle he sustained against the Brooklyn Nets:

Friday will already be the third time the Pacers and Pistons have played this season.

Detroit is 2-0 thus far against Indiana, winning 119-110 in their first meeting and barely surviving a 96-94 victory in the second. For his part, Turner scored 16 and 25 points in the two meetings, respectively.

Turner is averaging 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks for the Pacers in four games. He is shooting 55.0 percent from the field, 53.3 percent from beyond the arc and 77.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Indiana is 4-4 on the season. The Pacers are coming off a 121-106 win over the Washington Wizards. They are putting up 109.0 points and giving up 106.4 points a night.

The Pacers, despite playing without Turner, have a good chance of defeating the Pistons since Detroit will be without Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose and Reggie Jackson. Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis have been a revelation for the Pacers so far, with both players averaging 20-plus points a game.

Brogdon is putting up 22.3 points per game on top of 5.0 rebounds, 9.9 assists and 1.1 steals, while Sabonis is a double-double machine with averages of 20.3 points and 12.3 boards.
