Victor Oladipo may be best known for his skills inside the basketball court, however, he also has the talent for singing which he has shown in videos that have gone viral in the past. Now in the offseason, he has more time to pursue his other passion, and even released his first single, a remake of Donny Hathaway's “A Song for You”, just recently.

Oladipo is touching a rare field, or genre, in R&B and Soul as most players who have dived into their musical talent focused more on hip hop. The newly-acquired Indiana Pacers guard also shared, via Complex's Edwin Ortiz, why he chose the song and what Hathaway meant to him.

“Donny Hathaway is one of my favorite artists and ‘A Song for You' is one of the songs I could really relate to,” Oladipo said. “So in honor of him, I remixed his version of the song and flipped it into a modern day story of something someone might go through today in the second half.”

It remains to be seen if the public will patronize his first single, but his vocals are quite impressive and he indeed made a good and modern rendition of the song.
