Meanwhile, Tatum and the Celtics will try to win one more game at home before going on the road. Let's see who NBA 2K24 thinks will win this one.

Pacers vs. Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 2 Results According To NBA 2K24

According to our NBA 2K24 Simulation, the Boston Celtics will defeat the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 by a score of 125-117. The hard fought contest saw the Celtics maintain a tight lead for most of the match. While the Pacers never let their lead extend too far, they unfortunately couldn't push past and take the lead. Additionally, some awkward clock management at the end seemingly cost them opportunities to come back.

At no point did any team take a double digit lead, with the contest always remaining within 8 points. However, the Pacers played it too safe in the end, opting for anything but 3pt attempts. Down 113-119 with 39 seconds remaining, Myles Turner scored a basic shot, which kept the team down two possessions. This forced them to foul against the Celtics, who tacked on more points.

In terms of player performances, Jayson Tatum earned the game ball. He earned 48 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, and a steal, nearly recording a triple double. Jrue Holiday and Jaylen Brown added another 15+ points to the stat sheet as the Celtics enjoyed a good offensive showing. They'll hope to perform even better when Kristaps Porzingis returns from injury.

As for the Pacers, both Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam played well. Haliburton scored 25 points while adding 12 assists and a steal to his sheet. Siakam added another 20 points along with 6 rebounds. Myles Turner scored 17 points, earned 17 rebounds along with two assists in the game. However, it seems none of their efforts were enough to secure a victory.

In terms of stats, both teams shared some relatively similar numbers. No team seemed to dominantly lead in one category or another. However, the Celtics impressively converted all 17 of their free throws on the night.

With the win, the Celtics take a 2-0 lead in the series. They can actually close out the series in Indiana if they find ways to win in Games 3 and 4. However, considering how tough the Pacers are, we don't see this series ending in a 4-0 sweep. Therefore, Boston needs to win at least one game on this road trip to help their chances of advancing. We'll see if they replicate these results in real life.

With the loss, the Pacers now trail 2-0 and need to rebound back at home. While nobody expected the team to easily beat the Celtics, they're good enough of a team to win this series. Perhaps a trip back home will help the team find the adjustments they need to make in order to come back. The series is still far from over.

In terms of accuracy, we feel the scoreboard was a bit high, but not unrealistic. We try to make these simulations more enjoyable by adjusting CPU Sliders. This helps us prevent extremely high shot conversion percentages as well as high scoring games. It seems like this time both teams scored quite a bit, but it could've been a lot worse.

Another thing we do to improve the accuracy is updating rosters with our own custom rosters. However, since some injuries are labeled as ‘Game Time Decisions', we can't predict who will play in every single game. Therefore, bear with us as we strive to bring you accurate and enjoyable simulations.
