Aaron Rodgers has been facing criticism from the media all offseason long. First, the reports dogged him about the “broken relationship” that he supposedly had with former head coach Mike McCarthy. Now, they are trying to get after him about his current relationship with new head coach Matt LaFleur.

Finally, the superstar quarterback responded to those critics and his statement should shut them up.

Lily Zhao of WFRV shared the quote from Rodgers, making it very clear that he is getting along with LaFleur.

Rodgers and LaFleur have the potential to become a potent duo. The Packers have not had an up-to-date offense in quite some time. LaFleur, a member of the Sean McVay coaching tree, is excited to bring that up-tempo style of offense to the franchise.

On the other hand, Rodgers has been forced to rely on himself far too much in recent years. LaFleur loves running the football and uses unique ways to move the ball. Taking pressure off of Rodgers while still allowing him to control the offense to an extent is the balance that Green Bay needs to find.

All of that being said, the Packers are simply sticking to football regardless of the media. Rodgers taking the time to set the record straight was a good move, as it will help unite the team behind the scenes.

Green Bay is looking to get back into the playoffs after missing each of the last two years. Rodgers and LaFleur will have to work well together to make that happen.
