Aaron Rodgers and the top-seeded Green Bay Packers suffered a horrific loss in the NFC Divisional Round on Saturday night, falling 13-10 to the San Francisco 49ers. Rodgers made some NFL history in the process by falling to 0-4 against the 49ers in the playoffs. According to the NFL on CBS, that's the most playoff losses against a single opponent in history.

It initially looked like Rodgers and the Packers were going to make quick work of the 49ers. Green Bay marched down the field on the opening drive to score a touchdown and was on the move again on the second drive. However, the Packers turned the ball over and then failed to get anything going on offense the rest of the way, sputtering to just three more points.

It looked like Green Bay was still going to win despite the poor offensive performance, but San Francisco's blocked punt for a touchdown in the fourth quarter tied the game. After Rodgers failed to lead the Packers down the field one last time, the 49ers got in field goal range for Robbie Gould, who was good as gold.

Rodgers didn't have a terrible day at the office, completing 20 out of 29 passes for 225 yards, but he didn't do enough to get the job done. After dominating in the regular season once again, the Packers star didn't rise to the occasion in the playoffs, resulting in yet another disappointing home loss as the top seed. The league-worst special teams unit didn't help, but Rodgers needed to be better.

This is the second time in the last three seasons Green Bay has lost to San Francisco in the playoffs, with the 49ers crushing the Packers 37-20 in the NFC Championship Game in the 2019 season. Rodgers also lost to San Francisco to end both the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

After this latest disappointment, Rodgers' Packers career could be over.
