If he wasn't one of the front runners for MVP coming into Week 7, he sure is now.

After the Oakland Raiders were able to seemingly keep the door open and answer many of Green Bay scores, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers mercilessly slammed it shut. Rodgers was able to put up an insane stat line, accounting for six touchdowns with five coming through the air and one on the ground.

Rodgers, who failed to turn the ball over, praised his team's effort as well as head coach Matt LaFleur. Coming into the season, many speculated that there would be tension between the Pro Bowler and the first-year head coach. But as the season has progressed and the wins continue to pile up, Rodgers and LaFleur appear to be getting along just fine.

Now at 6-1, the Packers have proven to be one of the biggest threats in the NFC, led by a quarterback that can put the team on his back and get it done with minimal weapons around him.

The more time LaFleur and Rodgers spend together and learn each other's strengths and tendencies, the scarier Green Bay can become. Rodgers has been without star receiver Davante Adams the last three games, but Rodgers and the Packers have been able to pull out three straight in his absence. When Adams does come back, Rodgers will have no problem fitting him back into an offense that is playing better than ever.
