The Green Bay Packers played their hearts out but ultimately lost to the Minnesota Vikings. It was a close game, but Davante Adams feels Green Bay has struggled recently. With the Aaron Rodgers-COVID-19 debacle, Green Bay might have lost a step with their star quarterback missing so much time.

According to Ryan Wood, Davante Adams “doesn't discount Packers offense needing time to gel with how little Aaron Rodgers has practiced for the past month.” Anytime a player misses practice it knocks the chemistry loose a bit. For the Packers, they need Rodgers to participate in full, which should happen for the remainder of the season.

Adams “felt that rhythm coming late. Something to build on now that run of no practices for (Aaron Rodgers) might be over,” per Ryan Wood. The Packers still hold first place in the NFC North, which bodes well for their postseason outlook. However, they're in danger of losing the number one seed overall.

With the first seed of both conferences being the only teams to receive a bye week in the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers may have cost the Packers a shot at earning much-needed rest in the postseason. Even so, Green Bay is likely to bounce back, as they're easily one of the best teams in the NFL right now.

It's nice to see Davante Adams call it like it is. It wasn't a malicious statement and it's not likely to create a riff in the Packers' locker room. Adams is just stating facts, as Green Bay's offense didn't look that great until the second half against the Vikings.

Keep an eye on the Packers, as they look to right the ship against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12.
