Aside from Jordan Love's first NFL career start with the Green Bay Packers, another topic that made headlines on Sunday was the laughably bad seats given to the young QB's girlfriend and mom. However, the Kansas City Chiefs might not be the one to blame.
During the Week 9 showdown at Arrowhead Stadium, a video of Love's girlfriend and mom sitting on the nosebleed seats went viral. Plenty of people criticized the Chiefs for the treatment, especially in what should have been a momentous day for the 23-year-old.

However, the Chiefs might not be the one to blame … or at least not only them. As former Las Vegas Raiders (then Oakland Raiders) CEO Amy Trask pointed out, the league rules require home teams to provide “nice seats” for visiting teams. Apparently, the Packers might have chosen to use it for others.
Trask also clarified that even though the seats provided for visiting teams are limited, the Packers could have asked for extra seats from the Chiefs. After all, in her experience, the hosts always oblige to such requests.

Also: while the home team is required to provide the visiting team with a limited number of nice seats (in a suite or in nice locations in the stands or a combination thereof), it was my experience that whenever the visiting team asked for a few extra, the answer was always yes. https://t.co/SPHnDTiL9s

Of course only the Packers and Love's family knows the full story. Who knows, Jordan's girlfriend and mom may have chosen to be in those seats (although unlikely) or maybe Green Bay offered better seats but they refused.
At the end of the day, it's simply not a good look for the franchise.
