The Chicago Bears made it clear that this offseason would be dedicated to getting rid of the ghosts from last year's free agency. Now that they have done that, the next item on their list will be determining the future of cornerback Kyle Fuller.

The Bears had recently placed the transition tag on Fuller in an effort to buy more time on working out a long-term contract. However, they must now make their decision now that the Green Bay Packers have given an offer, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune:

Packers have signed Bears CB Kyle Fuller to an offer sheet. Chicago placed transition tag ($12.9067 million on Fuller). So things will get interesting in the NFC North as the rivals compete for the former first-round draft pick.

The move should come as no surprise since the Packers vowed to be more active in free agency. It seems they did not even have to look outside the NFC North for a talent worth signing. While the details of the offer sheet have yet to be revealed, Green Bay may be willing to spend a pretty penny to acquire Fuller's services.

The attention now turns to Chicago and general manager Ryan Pace. Pace had initially hoped the lucrative transition tag would give both sides more time to discuss a long-term deal with Fuller. However, the offer from Green Bay has undoubtedly sped up the process. The Bears will have five days to decide whether or not to match the deal or let one of their most promising, young talents go to a division rival.
