The Green Bay Packers are in a salary cap crunch heading into the NFL Offseason. Green Bay could be as much as $40 million over the salary cap before the NFL Free Agency period begins, which could make keeping a superstar player like Davante Adams, who is an unrestricted free agent, very difficult. What could complicate things even further is Adams' free agency desires, specifically his salary. The latest Packers rumors revealed exactly what Adams' desired yearly salary looks like, via Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline.

Those close to the situation tell me Adams wants to be the highest-paid receiver in the NFL and will be looking for a contract near $30 million per year. The Packers, at this point, look as though they may go no higher than $24 to $25 million a year.

Per the Packers rumors, Davante Adams wants to be the highest-paid receiver in the NFL, which is not surprising. What is surprising, is that Adams' NFL Free Agency wish list includes a yearly salary upwards of $30 million per year.

That would easily surpass Arizona Cardinals wideout DeAndre Hopkins as the league's highest-paid receiver. If any wideout is deserving of that salary, it's Adams, who has racked up over 115 catches, 1,300 receiving yards and double-digit touchdowns in each of the last two seasons.

However, the Packers seem like they want to go as high as $24 or $25 million, which would fall well short of Adams' desired salary. Something will have to give.

Packers fans will have to hope that it does.
