The newly proposed CBA deal has been in the news a lot recently. There are quite a few players who are not fans of the deal, not at all.

It appears the terms of the deal aren't the only thing they have a problem with either.

New Carolina Panthers star offensive lineman Russell Okung did not like how the situation was handled. He believed the NFLPA was in the wrong and lacked transparency during the entire situation.

Now, according to Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com, the NFLPA has responded.

“Our union learned from press reports yesterday of a charge made by an NFL player referencing a violation of constitutional process for a new collective bargaining agreement,” the NFLPA said in a statement. “We fully complied with our constitution, which spells out the process for the Board of Player Representatives to approve sending a proposed new collective bargaining agreement to the full membership for a vote. With respect to the other allegations reportedly in the charge, those issues were addressed by the full Executive Committee and shared with the Board of Player Representatives.”

The rundown of this is pretty simple. Okung is not a fan of how the entire situation was handled. And that includes how the NFLPA dealt with the players.

However, the NFLPA does not see it that way. They believe they went about everything the proper and legal way.

As you could guess, this is causing a little bit of an issue. Which could have been even more of a combustable situation, had Okung decided to run for NFLPA President.

According to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com, that's not the case though. So at least that isn't going to blow up in everyone's face.
