The Carolina Panthers already lost James Bradberry in free agency, but they've decided to keep another member of their secondary. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tre Boston has agreed to a deal with Carolina on Tuesday.

Over the past three years, Boston has bounced around to three different teams. Besides the Panthers, Boston had one-year stints with the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers.

But after two years away from the team that drafted him, Boston appears to be settling down in Carolina again. Also, after signing one-year contracts over the past three seasons, the veteran safety finally lands a multi-year contract with the Panthers.

Last offseason, Boston inked a one-year, $2.1 million deal to reunite with the Panthers. Now, his new contract with the team will see him make $9.5 million in just the first year.

In his first season back with Carolina, Boston performed remarkably, tallying 68 tackles, 11 deflections, and three interceptions. Since 2016, Boston has been a fairly consistent safety in the NFL, regardless of what team he is playing for.

Considering the current safety market, Carolina is getting a massive steal with Boston's new contract. At just 27 years old, Boston gives the Panthers some assurance on the backend of their secondary for the next few years.

Altogether, over the past four seasons, the former fourth-round pick has amassed 13 interceptions and 35 deflections. Even though they lost Bradberry in free agency to the New York Giants, at least the Panthers were able to keep their safety duo of Eric Reid and Boston intact for next season.
