Every known tattoo on Patrick Beverley’s body

Today is Patrick Beverley tattoos season. In this piece, we’re going to take a gander at every known piece of ink on the veteran’s body, but more on that in a few seconds.

Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley is the most irritating defensive stopper in the NBA today. The 32-year-old guard certainly relishes in playing the role of the heel and has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way over the years.

Bev, however, is still taking his licks at the moment, after the Clippers got eliminated form the 2020 playoffs after blowing a 3-1 series lead against the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Seminfinals.

Beverley pretty much duplicated his production from last season, tallying 7.9 points on 43.1 percent shooting from the field and 38.8 percent from deep, along with 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 steals, in 51 regular-season games.

Love him or hate him, he remains as one of the most intriguing personalities in the league.

While we could go all day discussing that massive chip he has on his shoulder, we’ll look at some of Beverley’s preferred ink of choice on his body instead.

The one-time NBA All-Defensive First Team member has yet to open up about the extent of his tattoos, nor has he described the meaning behind them. Nevertheless, today we’re gandering at Patrick Beverley tattoos.

Much like most of his Clipper teammates, Bev also dons full tattoo sleeves on both his arms.

Let’s take a closer look at the known tattoos on Patrick Beverley’s body.

As mentioned, it’s hard to decode all of Beverley’s body art, but he does have a couple of distinguishable ones. Perhaps the most noticeable one is the protruding Chinese symbol scribbled on his right shoulder.

While Chinese characters are popular among tattoo enthusiasts, this is an interesting choice for the Chicago, Illinois-native.

Beverley had several stints overseas in Europe, starting with BC Dnipro in Ukraine in 2008-09, followed by a one-year tenure with Greek powerhouse team Olympiacos B.C. the following year. He also played for BC Spartak Saint Petersburg in Russia. Bev, however, never played in Asia as he was eventually picked up by the Houston Rockets in 2013.

The exact English translation of that tattoo remains unclear, but it’s likely something that Beverley holds dearly in his life.

Right below it are images of what appears to be more Asian culture-inspired designs, but it’s a bit tricky to decipher the images. More black and white tattoo designs also cover both of his forearms.

A huge chunk of Bev’s left arm, meanwhile, is covered with a burning flame design. Engraved inside the flames are the letters W.A.Y.

Fire-inspired designs are also quite popular in the tattoo community since it signifies desire, passion, and love. All these three traits are quite present for Beverly each time he steps foot into the hardwood. Flame-inspired art also sometimes signifies destruction, wisdom, knowledge, light, creation, and energy.

Patrick Beverley is indeed as relentless as they come on the court and his aggressive-looking bodywork certainly epitomizes the grit and toughness that he brings each night.
